If you have ever been on a mountain bike you know that you want the seat up high when you are climbing so you get full leg extension and when you are descending technical terrain you want the seat lower so your weight is shifted back and lower to the ground. What happens if you hit that gnarly technical downhill with your seat up high in the sky? You end up getting tossed over the bars and onto the ground.
