Bear Grylls Ultimate Knife
In 2006, “Man vs. Wild” star Bear Grylls was exposed: lasso’ing a mustang that was tame, using special effects, staying at motels while “stranded” and having production-hands build props off-camera. To compensate, Grylls went off the reservation, like Colonel Kurtz in Apocalypse Now, climbing into a camel carcass to avoid a storm, eating a goat testicle and releasing the Bear Grylls Ultimate Knife. It’s a serrated, high carbon, stainless steel blade with an ergonomic rubber grip to reduce slippage. At the base is a pommel for hammering and additionally, the blade has an emergency whistle. It’s sharp.
